Out of Order Policy

Some of our tools are old, and many of our tools get a lot of use, so it is inevitable that our tools will break from time to time.

If a tool should break while you're using it, or if you arrive to find it broken:

1. Tag the tool as Out of Order with a red and white striped Out of Order tag (should be found in most rooms) with your name, the date, and a short description of the problem

2. Take picture and post to the relevant slack channel a short description of problem.

We can't fix what we don't know about, and a less experienced user may not realize the tool is broken -- causing a potentially dangerous situation, so please do report broken tools as soon as you can. If for whatever reason you can't post to slack or you don't feel comfortable posting publicly, please tell a board member and we'll post on your behalf
