A Tribute to Bernie Rohde

Here we honour our friend and unique artist, Bernie Rohde.

There is something that catches your eye; and the more you look, the more you get drawn in, and the more you wonder about how someone figured out how to put it together just so. It's not perfect, like a piece of jewellery, but all the same, every detail has been attended to. It almost certainly keeps a beat or a clock, has lights, and perhaps responds to sound; it's made of simple, visible circuitry, put together with such care. It exemplifies and explores a specific thing; it is the solution to a terribly tricky construction problem, and is tremendously neatly done. This is the art of Bernie Rohde.
