Consumables Policy

Consumables here function in a ‘take a penny, leave a penny’ system. Use whatever you want and when you next have left overs from a project consider donating them to the lab. E.g. electronics components, fabric, paint, yarn, etc.

There are a few exception to this general policy:

1. special consumables that are well marked or covered in training (i.e. 3d printer filament)
2. going into production: If you are Doing Business at KWartzLab you are expected to bring your own supplies
3. taking material for scrap: someone did it and now there's a rule :(

You can generally assume that materials left in an area are free to use unless labeled and dated. The flip side is that other members might assume the stuff you left in a room is free to use.
